Keanu Reeves to Star in Constantine 2, Scheduled for 2025 Release
It’s been nearly 20 years since the release of the film “Constantine” in 2005, and now we are finally set to see its sequel, projected to hit theaters in 2025. While Warner Bros. announced plans for a second installment back in 2020, it was only recently that Keanu Reeves confirmed the project’s existence.
Keanu Reeves will reprise his role as John Constantine in the sequel. The film will once again be directed by Francis Lawrence, who helmed the first “Constantine” movie and is known for his work on the “The Hunger Games” series (starring Jennifer Lawrence), “I Am Legend” (starring Will Smith), and the TV series “See” (starring Jason Momoa), among others.
“Constantine” is a film about the exorcist John Constantine, a character within the DC universe, and is produced by Warner Bros. The first film had a budget of around $100 million and grossed $231 million worldwide. While an exact release date for the sequel has yet to be announced, rumors suggest it will be sometime in 2025.
