Just a week or two after discovering her pregnancy, Lila began to experience excruciating pain—she was pregnant, but the pregnancy was ectopic, developing outside the uterus. Despite being under medical care, Lila’s condition worsened, necessitating immediate surgery.
In her candid interview with Fifield, Lila recalled, “I was devastated, and my husband was horrified at the thought of almost losing me, the woman carrying his child. I was in shock and utterly bewildered. But through it all, I held onto one resounding message: ‘I will bring joy through this.'”
Fortunately, a year later, Lila and Tim’s daughter, Audrey Joy, made her entrance into the world. And in those precious moments, Fifield was there to capture every heartbeat and tear.
