The appearance of this five-foot-long creature has ignited a fervent online debate about the hidden inhabitants of Britain’s lakes.
One walker claims that he could fit his entire fist inside the animal.
Jonny Beckett, a 32-year-old sales worker, recounted, “I was simply taking a romantic stroll with my partner Suzanne when I was astounded by what I saw. I thought it was a crocodile or some ancient creature, so I immediately snapped a photo of it. It appeared enormous, measuring about 5 feet in length. A group of children witnessed me taking the photo and looked horrified.”
Myron Szymanskyj, who also shared his photos of the creature, stated, “I examined the deceased monster closely. I turned it over, and boy, did it emit a foul odor.”
Many online users are dismissing the discovery, asserting that the “ancient beast” is merely an ordinary pike.
Pikes are commonly found in the 130-acre reservoir and have been known to grow up to 4 feet in length.
However, this eerie creature has been enough to deter regular visitors.
Local resident Carole Ann Gleeson remarked, “It’s absolutely dreadful. I won’t be wading in the lake again, that’s for sure.”
Emma Lorraine Mitchell added, “That’s no ordinary pike. It looks dangerous. I wonder if this is the only one or if there are more or if it’s an ancient species.”
Emma Meredith expressed, “Oh, I was planning a weekend getaway with the kids. I think I’ll pass now.”
